Fascinator Workshop - 17th August 10am-1pm
This workshop is about having fun, being creative and having the satisfaction of making something beautiful. You will create a fascinator in this time and be able to choose your colours and materials.About this experience
About the Event: Zero skills required, this workshop is all about having fun and being creative! During this 3 hour workshop you will be introduced to the basics of making a fascinator. There will be a brief demonstration of traditional millinery techniques before you have a go yourself. The fascinator base will be ready made but your job will be to make it beautiful! Amelia will be on hand to help with designs and demonstrate basic techniques and will ensure that everyone goes home with something they’re proud of making. At the end of the session we can mount the finished product on a hat elastic and wrap it up ready to be taken home. You will also be given 10% off all Feather & bloom purchases and orders on the day. Provided by Feather & Bloom: A selection of fascinator bases in various colours, plenty of varied materials such as beads, wire, artificial flowers, feathers etc. Tools and equipment such as needles, thread, glue, water spray etc. If you have something special that you would like to add to your fascinator please feel free to bring anything you like. Ticket price includes the materials and tuition to make one fascinator. Additional materials can be purchased on the day if you would like to make more. If you require a specific colour to match an outfit please let me know at least a week advance and I will try my best to source it.
I usually run workshops on the first Saturday of the month and host between 3 and 6 people and reserve the right to cancel the workshop if numbers don;t reach 3. If you would like to arrange your own private workshop for more or less people than this and on a date of your choice please do get in touch.
Your Host
Founder, Amelia Locke is trained in traditional couture millinery but being a Champagne taste, Prosecco budget kind of person, wanted to make hats that didn't cost the earth. So in 2017, she threw caution to the wind and decided to create a range of hats that are affordable, fun and fabulous. Working from her studio in Hampshire, Amelia creates ready to wear and bespoke millinery for all occasions.
